I read the reviews carefully before purchasing this item. First off, I really like this wedge! I am 5'2 and this most definiteley gave me a much needed boost in my seat. The boost gave me just enough lift to take pressure off my legs, hips & bottom. Overall I am super happy with my purchase, and I waited to write this review until I took my long distance trip...with that said here are the negatives. This foam wedge works great for me on the short distance trips, to work and back and running errands etc, on long distance trips (5 hour car ride) I found that my bottom was sore and my back was starting to hurt some as I was about an hour or two from my destination. I do not have any medical issues, I just tend to get a sore back and leg pain while driving long distance (bc I'm short) so I am always looking for good lumbar support and seat support. Previously I was using a gel/soft memory foam seat support cushion but it was to "squishy" that it flattened too much causing seat/back discomfort. I wish this wedge had a thin layer of gel or "squishy" foam on top of the hard foam, I think it would be just a bit more comfortable on the long distance drives. The foam does conform to my body (my seat bones) but not enough to relieve pressure off my back after a long drive. My legs & knees are most definitely happier. I would highly recommend this wedge for short distance drives, and for those in need of a boost (for the "shorties" like myself). I plan on finding a gel pad to place on top of this wedge to see if that helps for the long distance rides. Also, I wonder if it needs time to "break in" and if over time it will be more comfortable.

This is a great cushion, it's not just a soft foam pad that squishes down when you sit on it. It's not too firm, and not too soft. It conforms to your shape nicely. It does get more firm in cold weather, but "softens" up after a few minutes of sitting on it. It has helped with lower back pain and also flattening out these darn bucket seats (how is it healthy for anyone to sit like that?!) I'm sensitive to chemicals and smells and there was ZERO odor to this cushion (unlike many memory foam products). 5 stars.I'd give six stars for 1 or 2 more inches of lift! Seriously, car seats nowadays are designed and tested for comfort, but most people in this age are comfortable in this neck-forward straight lumbar position because of computers and smartphones making our posture unhealthy.

I really wanted to like this seat cushion - it's well made: 1. firm, doesn't collapse. 2. fits my bucket seat (Chevy Volt) very well. 3. cover is nice nappy sort of suede-like material that cleans easily and I expect it will wear well. However, I keep adjusting it to make my back comfortable. It's definitely wide enough, but I think it is too short, hitting my thigh in a place that does not work, even with the wedge effect. I have finally pulled it forward enough that I sit with my butt on the back edge and that seems to work better - which may be another problem - I need a true "cut out" for the coccyx relief, not a depression. So overall, I will see if I can find a different use for this pillow, but for the cost, I'm not thrilled.Have to add an edit: I discovered that this cushion makes a wonderful lumbar filler for a Lazy Boy recliner that has lost its "umph". I put the thin part of the wedge facing up and the fat pat tucked down in the crease between where I sit and the up right part of the recliner. The suede is "sticky" enough to keep me from slouching. My back feels great. I'd buy the Desk Jockey for this purpose alone :)

I was skeptical when I opened the box and took the wedge cushion out. It felt extremely firm and wondered how that would make it therapeutic and comfortable at the same time.I bought as a gift for my wife for her new car. She is only 5'2" and got a Nissan Versa. She likes seeing over the hood and was using a regular couch cushion to sit on. This was not good for her back or sciatic.Premium Therapeutic Grade Car Wedge Cushion did the job for her as soon as she used it. She absolutely LOVES IT!The 3" height is a perfect lift she needed and her little tush is very comfortable.The firmness keeps her hips level. She also feels like her posture is more straight up and not slouching while driving.I had to take the test myself. I'm also very short. I drove her car with the Wedge Cushion and YES, it was very comfortable!I am seriously thinking of getting one for my Jeep Wrangler now!I definitely would recommend this to anyone

This is a bit tough, but, for what I needed it for I had to dink it a couple of stars...read on....I bought this for a company car I was given to use. The problem is the more I drive it, my hip gets sore. I am normal size and height and do not have issues with my personal cars. So I originally folded a bath towel to see how it would do....much better so then I looked for a seat cushion that would do the job better....and I found it...sort of...It is firm and does make me sit a bit higher as I knew it would but after 2-3 days with it, all discomfort disappeared. So at that point 5-stars...then that fateful night it was 38-degrees outside and the car does sit outside...and that is where I knock two stars off...it was as hard as a brick in the morning. Took a good 15-20 min to start to confirm as normal and was fine from there, but it seems as though the material inside is greatly affected by temperature.Mine also did not have any straps but has grip dots and it does stay put without issue and I prefer that since I have to take it indoors with me daily.So unfortunately I really like it and will have to drag it in the house every night so it stays pliable and ready to go in the morning....this will be for 6-months straight until late spring.In the end I am going to keep it. It has alleviated all discomfort and it fits in the seat really well plus the color is close to the seat color so it doesn't stand out.

Das Kissen ist seine Investition wert! Der nach hinten abfallende Autositz wird dadurch angeglichen (trotz anderer Rezensionen habe ich keine Probleme, was die Sitzfläche angeht) und auch am Esstisch oder auf dem Bürostuhl entlastet er sehr. Ich wechsle zwischendrin immer, damit die Fläche nicht zu stark eingedellt wird. Dann klappt es sehr gut.

Es un cojín en cuña, para elevar la posición de conducción y ya. No está mal, un poco duro quizás, pero cumple su función. Lo recomiendo especialmente para aquellos asientos que no tienen regulación de la banqueta.

My first few days - it looks it does the job very well! What helped me a lot (as opposed to some other similar products on the market), there were the dimensions given in the description so I knew it would fit into my car bucket seat slot :-) It is hard yet comfortable, no slipping, it stays steadily stuck on your seat in spite of your body moving forward occasionally, it i s just as high as it should be - you nearly don't need to re-set the height of your seat, yet it takes your hips just right higher that the lifted edges of the uncomfortable (and painful!) edges of the car seat. I'm just hoping it will stay as it is with the time and won't "fall down".

Everyone looks for something slightly different in seat cushions. I've spent over $100 trying to find the one that suits me and this is it. I needed a cushion to put on an old office chair with a broken hydraulic lift. So I needed height. But, I'm "broad in the beam" and the others I bought were too narrow and caused pain in my thighs because they weren't fully supported. This is perfect. I've used it for a couple of days and no pain or discomfort. It is VERY firm. I was concerned about that causing numbness or pain, but it has enough "give" to avoid that and it springs back to shape after I get up. It does take some work to get on it in a comfortable position. I have to sit, then use my arms to scooch me back far enough to be comfortable. So, in some cases, it may not be the best choice for someone who is frail or weak in the arms who doesn't have assistance. It's advertised as a wheel chair cushion. I don't have any experience with those particular needs. But I understand that pressure against the skin and muscle all day can cause worry about tissue breaking down. Compared with other options I've tried, this is a pretty amazing combination of firmness for support and "give" for comfort when sitting. I'd recommend it for someone looking for these features.

This seat is extremely comfortable for when I need to be in my wheelchair for long periods. My legs used to go numb from the regular seat digging in. The only downfall to this seat is that it's several inches high, which really raises you up in the chair, so when you're already tall like me, it means I have to slump down a little bit to comfortably put my arms on the arm rests.

Because of mobility issues, I sit mostly all day and this thick pad has lasted more than a year. But now it has started losing its rebound/spring back. It collapses under my weight and causes painful pressure points on my behind. Considering I weigh 320 lb/ 145 kg, it has held up well and thus I am thinking of purchasing the same unit as a replacement.

Perfect fit for my loved ones oversized wheelchair. It is quite thick but that works good for us. It is firm to begin so hopefully that firmness will last a while. Good quality.

I bought my 1st of these cushions last fall. I was really happy with it at first. It had good support and was very comfortable. I had noticed that the foam just wasnt holding up anymore. It was squishing a lot so I ordered a new one last week. I got the 2nd one today. This thing is STIFF. It is much firmer foam than my old one. I know my old one has several months worth of use daily, but this thing almost doesnt give any and Im 5'9 240 lbs. I think they changed the foam. Im hoping the new one breaks in some, but doesnt get as soft as the old one and I will be happy. I was actually planning on stacking them if the new one was as soft as the old. UPDATE. 2 months later, and the foam on the 2nd is still as stiff as the 1st day. You can sit on it for a bit and you eventually sink into it some, but its very uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time. Thoroughly disappointed in it and am currently back to sitting on the original one starting to day because it doesnt hurt my thighs to sit on it.

I purchased this item because I’m experiencing back pain and I need a softer chair than my office chair comes with. I recently purchased a big & tall office chair that is good for my size but needs more cushion. I liked that this item was wide enough to fit across my entire plus-sized chair. But I was very surprised to learn that this approx 2-inch tall foam cushion was as hard as sitting on bricks. It said the cushion was good for people up to 400 pounds, which is good, as I’m a big guy. But the foam did not give any resistance despite my 350 lbs body sitting on it. That was a problem in two ways.1) Because my chair was already tall, I could not lower it any more than it was. Adding two more inches in hight put me too far a one my desk and keyboard. Had their been any give in the foam that might not have been a problem. 2) Because the foam didn’t give at all when I sat on it, it was extremely uncomfortable. That defeated the whole reason for buying it. I had to return this item (which, luckily, was very easy to do).

24 inches wide x 17 inches deep x 4 inches high. If you like a firm cushion then this is the one for you. Definately made for heavy set people. Pretty durable cushion. Hopefully it will eventually have a little give to it when I sit on it.....but at least it's better than all those memory foam crappy cushions.After using this cushion I found it to work perfectly for my back and sciatic while sitting 10-12 hrs at work everyday. I'm 6ft 1in 215lbs. The cushion actually does have some give after sitting it in a couple days.

The seat cushion is in fact very wide on my chair and I have a wide chair at work. The cushion maintains its comfort even after sitting for several hours. BUT there is one complaint I want people to know. When you put weight on it like I do and I weigh close to 475 lbs. , it tends to slip on the chair and every once in a while I have to get up and put it back in position on my chair. That's the only complaint I have, other than that I'd recommend this cushion to my overweight brothers and sisters.
