I don't know how Plugable makes these adapters work so flawlessly, but mahnnn I am a happy customer. I also own a Plugable docking station for over three years now and it works like day 1.

Works with my HP spectre 13in. to an LG 24in 4k display. Just plugged it in and it automatically picked 4k resolution and worked just fine. The 30 hz refresh worked even though the HP can do 60 hz. Be aware that some USB A style 3.0 ports or the multi port adaptors themselves can not handle 4k, the USB C seem to be better at it. Make sure you check the specs on the adaptor and the port.

Not a big fan of the USB-C ports on my MacBook Air generally, the previous adapter for USB, vga, hdmi and power broke - just stopped working - after about 18 months and had been getting looser and attached screen flickered/disconnected regularly. This Plugable adapter has a much more satisfying ‘click’ and feels like a good physical connection when plugged in. Just seems a better engineered fit. Let’s see how it holds up. It does get quite warm, probably not good for the circuitry inside.

I have two monitors I wanted to attach to my 2019 MacBook Pro to work from home. But only one adapter was provided by my company. I could not justify spending $80 dollars for a simple USB-C style HDMI adapter branded by Apple.This more reasonably priced adapter works flawlessly. Matching the functionality of the Apple adapter for my use on my UHD monitors.It can feel warm to the touch, at times. But I trust that this will serve well for years of use.

I purchased this adapter in order to stream from my IPad while still charging. Unfortunately, the connection between the adapter and the HDMI set up with my capture card caused a flickering image, unsuitable for streaming. This is the only situation that I've tested the adapter in, and I'm sure this is still a great and affordable solution for other problems, just not my own.

I needed to extend and add a second monitor, this unit worked perfectly. It was easy to set up- basically plus and play.

Adding some more monitors to my system for options trading. Went from 4 monitors to 6 on Win10. I am running an AMD5950X, 128GB, Win10 Pro, and 3070. I had 4 monitors on the 3070 and added this device and easily added 2 more monitors. Simply install the correct plugable software and then plug in the additional monitors. No problem running my additional 1920 x 1080 monitors, Win10 sees all 6 monitors. I might add two more monitors. wow, that was too easy.UPDATE ++ Now running 8 monitors without issue, great product, hope it lasts a few years.

I recently decided to switch from Windows to Mac OS for work. My employer sent me a MacBook Pro M1. I was ecstatic to get started. I plugged it into my docking station and I soon found out that the MacBook Pro M1 does not support dual external monitors. I work in the technology sector and am very reliant on having multiple external displays to do my job well. So I hopped on Amazon to look for a solution and found this adapter. Once it was delivered, it was basically plug and play, very easy setup. And it did work! I was able to use dual external displays with my MacBook in "clamshell" mode but this came with an annoying limitation. The display resolution across both monitors was not the same. I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the MacBook or the adapter. This might not be a big deal for some but I found it to be annoying. So...if you're looking for a way to use dual external monitors with your M1 MacBook, this is a good, not so expensive solution.

Yes, this definitively works with the MacBook Air with the Chip Apple M1. I have a Macbook Air and was shocked after buying it to find out it will only support one external monitor. Easy searched turn up expensive solutions. This does what you need and is a fraction of the cost.

I spent a good bit of money for what I thought would be a quality product and solution.1. It does not work with my work computer which allows plug and play only peripherals by policy. It just shows Universal Graphic Adapter on the monitor, then cuts signal.2. On my personal computer, only 1 of the ports are usable. The other has weird staticky lines on text wherever the mouse is pointing when I used that display to view my gmail. It is not the monitor as I am able to use regular HDMI to HDMI connection just fine, as well as HDMI to USB-C connection without any issues. So I paid $70 for a single port, hence the value to money rating. Since one of the ports has good quality, I did give a 3 star there to balance the 1 star for the unusable port.I wish I had tested this in time to return it, but alas I did not. Oh well, story of my life I guess.

First of all, the adaptor works great. But this review is not about the adaptor. It is about the amazing customer service Plugable Team provided when I had an issue with the firmware installation. The support team went above and beyond in helping me out. I really did not encounter a customer service experience this good. I wish all support teams were as customer-centric as Plugable is!

I have 3 of these but use 2 regularly, the 3rd, i use occasionally. After a few months, all 3 are working great.Main set-up: I have 5 27" screens hooked up to my desktop via two of these. Four screens are plugged into 2 usb ports (with two of these devices) and the 5th screen hooked up directly to a usb port. It was an easy plug and play set up. The devices feel quality and after a few months using them for 55 hrs a week for a tech job, I've had no problems. Highly recommended. I really can't believe these aren't more popular.

After trying out a few duds on Amazon, I was about to lose hope. Until I tried this adaptor out!! I was able to extend 4 screens (3 external + laptop screen) with this product! Works great with both USB and USBC. It's super small and light weight, very low profile - which was something I was very particular about. This adaptor delivered on every front!

This is a very neat, compact unit that worked straight out of the box. I was expecting to be messing around with drivers or debugging some complicated setup issue but was delighted to find that connecting this couldn't have been easier.I noticed this does run warm, so I connected it to my laptop using a powered USB3 hub. This isn't essential, you can connect it directly to the laptop, but I prefer things like this to draw their power from a hub rather than the laptop directly. Excellent purchase.

I have tried a couple different ways to connect the extra (3rd) monitor while still keeping the laptop screen too. I was skeptical as it seemed to easy and also very affordable based on other equipment that will work for this purpose. I figured I'd try, glad I did. It took a couple min to click to the website, download driver, then plug in the unit and I was up an running. Worked like a charm whith no hassles. Mainly run Microsoft office software applications and YouTube, etc. And works great. Not sure how I would hold up for gamers, but for my purposes, I'm very pleased! Now for some desk cleanup and cord management! Lol

Got this as Amazon renewed and saved doing that.I got it working quickly by referencing Plugable’s website Support, downloading the easily installed driver & successfully using it on a Dell Inspiron 14 with USB-C, & both a Gigabyte gaming & a MSI gaming laptop with USB 3.0 &d USB-C, respectively. Running it now over 10 days running three (3) 1080p monitors on the MSI machine; it works great & consistently. If I had more room I would find another 4th monitor..maybe I will get a monitor arm for that…BTW tried & works with ChromeOS for me on an Acer ChromeBook but slower mouse response.. .

Easy install, 5-10 minutes and you’re up and running. 3-4 days into using and its working well, just remember to shut down the program before disconnecting cables. Otherwise it’ll lock things up and require a restart. The picture quality is 8/10. The colors are slightly washed somehow, still tinkering with a adjustments to make it better. Definitely not up to video/photo editing but for productivity usage its great. Video response on youtube working well. For the price, ease of setup, & only offering out there supporting more than 3 monitors on Apple Silicon M2 Pro I’m happy. Will update after 30-60 days of use.

I need to use a 3 monitor setup to be more productive. This adapter is a very good product. The only complaint I have is the app that allows the adapter to work prevents streaming most videos in web browsers from streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and Paramount+. Sites like YouTube, Udemy, and ITPro.tv will still play. Also, the resolution doesn’t display the recommended setting on all monitors that are the same model. For example, I’m using 3 HP Z24 monitors and should display 1920x1280 @ 75Hz. One monitor does display at that resolution, but the other two will only display at 1680x960 @ 65 Hz. I have to run one monitor on the adapter, one on the integrated HDMI port, and one on the HDMI port on the docking station.The only change I would make to the adapter, itself, make the USB-C cable at least 3 inches longer. That would aid with cable management.I provide support for mobile devices and Macs for my employer, and even though I had a few issues, I still recommend this product to other Mac users I provide support to. The person that does our organizations graphic design, in our PR department, actually bought one and is thrilled to have 4 monitors to do his job. The photographer and is looking I into getting one as well. They both had to switch between Mac and Windows devices specifically for the monitor setup. Now that they have an option that allows them to use their Macs, exclusively, one has reduced the footprint of devices at his desk and the other has no room at all.Overall, I highly recommend this adapter!

The HDMI #3 and #4 ports are jumpy, NOT a smooth quality picture. If you swap the HDMI cables, it goes away for about 30 mins, then comes back. The unit runs very hot, which is most likely the culprit.

My IT department at work said there is NO WAY I can have 4 monitors with a micro computer that only has 3 ports in the back (1 HDMI and 2 display ports). I searched high and low and gave plugable a try. IT WORKED!!! I'm now able to be more productive with work and has been excellent. I was a little concerned about drivers you need to download, but my Windows 10, 11 auto downloaded it, then restart your computer and it works. ****Please make sure you always have 1 HDMI or display port connected to your computer at all times, then connect the other monitors to the Plugable****Note - the unit will get noticeably warm, But over all is great.

I purchased this one because I wanted to use the direct USB-C on my Mac Mini with M2. After installing the driver, the screens would not stay on, but kept flashing. Almost gave up. As a last ditch effort, I used the included USB-C to USB-A converter and plugged it into the USB-A port on the Mac Mini and viola! all works as expected.

Unfortunately, once I was able to have two monitors connected it would not allow me to watch any videos on the monitors only on my actual Mac. So, this is not a good product if you want to watch any videos, however, it does allow you to work on the multiple monitors.

I had an issue that resulted in only 2 monitors working with the Plugable device. I contacted Plugable, sent the a file check which they asked for. The quickly analyzed the issue and indicated there was a problem with unit not my computer. They sent me a replacement within 48 hours direct to my house. Could not have been more satisfied.

I have had the device for just over a year now, and I had a couple of issues with it, the support team were amazing. I reached out to them, and get resolutions the exact same day!I will definitely recommend Plugable to my friends/collagues!

Ich hatte bisher eher Pech mit "Docking-Stations" die entweder nur zwei Monitore konnten oder inkompatibel mit bestimmten Rechnern waren oder sich mit anderen Dockingbases ins Gehege gekommen sind. Mit der richtigen Suche nach langer Zeit endlich dieses Teil gefunden. Die Beschreibung hat mich hoffen lassen, der Preis ist mächtig .... aber trotzdem habe ich den Versuch gewagt. Ergebnis: Das Teil ist da, Treiber runtergeladen und installiert auf Windows 11 ... 2 Minuten ... angeschlossen, Monitore eingestöpselt ... Parallel zur Lenovo DockingBase .. ALLE Monitore sofort und richtig erkannt. Einrichtung Alles-in-Allem 5 Minuten. Ruckelfrei, Ausfallfrei, stabil. Ich bin glücklich. Dieses Teil ist sein Geld definitiv wert. Wenn wieder genügend Spielgeld angespart ist, hole ich mir noch eine zweite! (und Ja, ich arbeite viel am PC und mit vielen Fenstern gleichzeitig - daher sind 6 Monitore bei mir voll ausgelastet.)

If you are using it with a laptop, just be aware if the orientation of the hub's ports, which is by its sides.Connecting it to a laptop, means the 4 hdmi cables going into the hub needs some planning else it will criss cross your laptop.I had to buy an 'L' shaped extender, so i can place the hub towards the back of the laptop. Then no issues with the hdmi cables.
