I tried the spray and it simply could not be isolated to one area and ended up being too messy. Tried this pen and it works much better without a mess. It is great for obvious roots before next color appointment. Of course it washes out with next shampoo.

I have been trying to save some money and going to the salon less frequently so my grays are driving me nuts! I have a powder that I can brush on but it takes a lot of powder to cover them and you can still kinda see them so I ordered this touch up stick that I saw on Tik Tok but I don't trust buying things off there so I found it here on Amazon. I just got it and tried it out and you cannot see ANY of my greys and it doesn't take hardly any effort to cover them. It is amazing! I am very happy that I have a way to cover my greys now until my next hair appointment.

I have a few grays in the front around my face and someday I will probably look like the Bride of Frankenstein with silver streaks streaming past my ears. Well, not this summer.I tried a very popular drugstore brand touch up spray and it made my hair feel tacky, looked noticeable in natural light and transferred everywhere. Yuck. After this experience, I caved and bought this stick and now I'm on my second one. I like it is a thick wax that adheres and stays. No smears, residue or weird feeling hair even in the summer heat. I find it works well for the grays around my face, but I can see someday I might need to test out their spray to cover more areas. For now though, I'm pretty happy.I read an interview where a celebrity hair stylist uses this for gray touch-ups or to add a temporary highlight (in a slightly lighter shade) on their A-list clientele. I can see why it is a go to pick for stylists. It's easy, blends well, stays on and it's very easy to pop the stick in a bag for travel.

Product is alot better than using a spray which gets all over the place and on skin. I think it's a great product and would buy.

Easy to apply and not sticky like other products

I combine the spray and medium brown, and I pencil in a few dark brown with the pencil form. I parted my hair, tried to cover the scalp with a sponge and spray in the spots. I need it. Then I work it in and blended out with my fingers and go back and pencil in a few in dark brown. It feels like dry shampoo and gives my roots a good lift. I just have to embrace that messy sexy look from the 60s. I took off one star because sometimes it will lack shine and once you find the style edit products that are good for you and your color gets very easy.

I like this product a lot. It really does the job well. Especially if you don't need to wash your hair every day, it obviously will last longer.But... why in the dang world does this small 3-gram one-tenth of an ounce volume product need to be priced at $40?? I can't wrap my head around why it's priced so incredibly high. So, what I'm now doing is searching other options that are more fairly priced and lots of them exist! I have other similar products to try and I suspect they will do a similar job.Why, I just don't get why, these are so outrageously expensive. I mean if I bought 2 i'd be out almost one HUNDRED dollars! For so little!The value for the money isn't there.

The product is like taking a waxy brow filler and trying to apply it to your hair.There is no richness in covering any grays because it literally like a crayon.Tossing mine.

This is a great product for root cover up. It works great.Covers with no problem. I have used it on my red hair. Also my chestnut brown hair. I change my hair color frequently. Buy it it works.

Have used this in between hair colors and in areas where I’ve lost hair covers up nicely aka makes hair look fuller . Not good for pool day, not water proof and will bleed out. Otherwise great product.

I LOVE IT. It’s like, powder that goes over foundation that matches your blonde and easy to brush on with the handy little pad that pops out often bottom. It looks natural and beautiful! However, it goes really fast for 40 dollars.

The loop should be on the sponge not the base but aside from that it does what it said. It just also leaves a residue similar to those texture powders meant to add body and texture to limp hair (which really just adds tons of grit and film to the root area making it feel gross but look alright) know what you’re buying - I guess. It doesn’t suck. But it’s not as great as the viral nonsense claims

Does a great job of covering root regrowth, including grays, but leaves your hair feeling a bit dirty like all root cover ups. Packaging is very convenient for on the go touch ups.

I love this stuff!! I have 90% grey hair and colour it medium copper gold and this root touch up matches it perfectly!! It's so easy to apply with the sponge applicator, which is why I decided to try it out. I've used sprays, which you don't get a lot of, and brush applicator methods, but the sponge is the easiest and faster. You also get a lot of product in this. The colour match is so perfect, the best I've ever found. This one is more expensive than some others, but it's the colour match that makes me love it. It stays in until I wash it, I can dunk my head in water and it stays on! 100% recommend! You can even use it on your eyebrows, I have done that. I'm definitely buying this again when it's finished!

Over priced and ineffective.I read all reviews, followed the application instructions diligently and I’m sorry to say but this product is poor.My roots are mid/light brown and my coloured hair is ash blonde. The product is similar to powdered foundation that you would use from a compact. It’s matte on application and despite being very careful with application it will at the end of the day, end up on your scalp leaving a dark tan line. It simply didn’t cover my roots at all. I’m baffled as to why so many other people say it works. Please don’t waste your money!

I had previously bought something for Blonde root touch ups, they never worked. They definitely were not Blonde. This product does the job. There is powder in the jar , and the bottm of the container has a small round powder applicator. You just dab the applicator into the powder and then on your roots. It really does the job. I recommend this Root Powder !

Style Edit DARK BLONDE Root Concealer Touch Up Spray is simply fantastic. I have highlighted blonde hair with darker roots, and this product has allowed me to stretch out my hair coloring appointments, which has been so much healthier for my hair. I haven’t had my hair colored in almost five months, and this is by far the best root concealer I’ve used. The shade is spot on and blends seamlessly with my hair. Absolutely love it!

This works better than L’Oréal and Trèsame but the price is ridiculous. In April, I paid $29.25 for the same 2 oz can that now, in August was listed at $33. But luckily, the company included a $6 coupon so I paid $27. That’s a good thing but not sure why it’s so expensive.The medium brown matches the rest of my hair perfectly and my white roots become invisible once sprayed.I like it and will continue to use it…unless Joico starts making their spray again; I’ll have to go back to Joico if that happens, and they were at least $10 cheaper. But in the meanwhile, this spray works. As with any root spray, you can’t run your fingers through your hair while wearing it. And it stays in until washed out. I’ve never had it rub off on my bedding.

I have light brown hair, but as I’ve gotten older, I started highlighting it to cover up the little bit of gray and I’m getting around my face. I tried using other brands, but it look like I was literally spraying spray paint on my hair and it just didn’t look natural. So I went searching on the Internet for a high-quality root touchup spray and this is what came up and it was on Amazon and it seems expensive because it’s $35 but compared to the bottles you get at the grocery store that are about 10 and maybe 6 inches tall. This bottle is twice that size and probably three times as thick, the bottle is like the size of a hairspray bottle. It’s pretty big , it’ll last you a while depending on how often you use it of course. But the best thing about it is that if you find the right shade for me, dark blonde work the best to cover up my light brown to medium brown roots when I had gray coming in, you just shake it and spray it and the great thing is is that it won’t wear off during the day, it won’t wear off on your pillowcases at night. It won’t come out until you wash your hair. So you have 24 seven coverage until you literally wash it out of your head. The only downside I’ve had and I’ve bought five of these cans so far these nozzles will get stuck and you’ll have almost a full can of spray and think “oh my gosh this is all going to waste now nothing is coming out “you just have to run the nozzle under some warm water and get a little safety pan and just stick it in that little nozzle and unclog it and usually you can get it working again. That’s what’s worked for me. I hope they don’t make me change this because it’s such an amazing product but spray nozzles get clogged no matter what the product is but I don’t use mine every day mine actually like after I get my hair done I don’t use it for five weeks or so so it sits for a while sometimes in between us so I think that’s why a couple of my bottles have gotten clogged, but the clog is really easy to take care of and it’s worth The trouble that really isn’t any major trouble at all. I think my first can last me three months four months because I would just use it around my hairline and that was it and it really is the best root coverage I’ve ever ever tried and I’ve tried many of them not just at the grocery store but at the beauty supply place and this is the most natural looking coverage.

This product is a great time saver for root conceal, especially around the temples. I normally don't use it on the top of my head for several reasons: 1) I can't see the top of my head 2) when someone tall comes up to me, I make sure they can't see the top of my head.I don't understand how people can go five weeks without coloring? My hairs grow out over night and I swear if I don't dye my hair every two weeks, it looks horrible but dye is very taxing on the hair and my scalp has taken to breaking out in reddened patches from over-use of dyes. My skin is already very allergic and sensitized and my doctor said "no" to continued dying so I have to rely on Style Edit to save my self-esteem.Seriously, this product is what I call an "airbrush in a can". It does take a lot of practice to get used to it. Handy materials to have before you start: 10x magnifying mirror with a task light or lamp above it, or other good lighting; rubber gloves; sturdy paper towels with "quilted" design; moisturizer; cotton swabs; hand mirror to look at your profile in another mirror; a toothpick (optional).The magnify mirror with good lighting is essential if you are using this product around your temples. If you just spray-blast it on your head/temples, you will leave tell-tale borders along your temples and it will look very, very, weird; not to mention a giant black or dark brown blast of dye on your skin and people will stare at you (I've learned the hard way).The rubber gloves are essential when you go to wipe off the excess, unless you don't mind the product getting on your hand and under your fingernails. I'm cheap, so I use one strip of paper towel, fold it, flip it over and use again and the glove prevents my hand from staining. I only use one glove on my dominant hand, that's all you need.The sturdy quilted paper towel is vital for wiping off the over spray on your skin- do not use tissue paper, it will break up and disintegrate in your hair and make a big mess. I use Kirland (Costco) brand paper towel rolls but you can use Bounty quilted or some other "cloth-like" paper towel.Moisturizer makes it easier to wipe off the over-spray from your forehead or temple.Cotton swabs are great for rubbing away the mistakes when you press too hard and blast your scalp or temple with too much spray. It's easier to use the swab instead of paper towel for spot-fixes to remove localized areas of too much spray.A hand mirror is a good reality check. After you Style Edit your hair, look at your profile in the mirror to make sure the hairline looks "natural". The side of your face is not the same view you see in the mirror if you are staring straight on.A toothpick with a flat end is a great tool to keep in your pocket in case your scalp or head itches. Do not scratch with your fingers, you will end up with Style Edit under your finger nails! I use black, so it looks gross when I get it under my nails. I used to carry around an orange stick in my pocket but it was too long and pointy. Here's how I do it:- put moisturizer around your temples and forehead.- shake Style Edit before using.- apply GENTLE pressure on button...this is the hardest part, as the product tends to blast out with too much pressure. If it does blast out, no fear, just leave it until it dries.- cover all your grays with a FINE mist of this amazing product. Do not blast down on the button - again, this is the hardest part to master.- let it dry, about ten minutes, more if you have time.- put on a glove on your dominant hand.- for temples, use a down-ward swipe with a strip of sturdy paper towel to take the over-spray off your skin. Don't rub upwards on the temples, use one motion downward only. Too vigorous of a rub will remove product from your hair and you'll have to repeat the process.- for forehead, use same technique but swipe the paper towel upward to get rid of over-spray as this is the way my hair grows.- to correct blasts of concentrated color, I remove gently with a cotton swab on the scalp after it has dried. You can experiment while it's still wet but I've found that it rubs the color off the surrounding hair as well.Voila! You are done! And yes, if you don't wash your hair, it may stain your pillows. I live in a humid environment and have to wash my hair daily. I find that Style Edit works best on clean hair and dry scalp. It seems like a lot of steps, but once you get the technique down, it only takes about 10-12 minutes or less.I've also tried another brand called Gray Away from Wal-Mart for $9.99 but found Style Edit's pigments are finer and lasts longer throughout the day.

This product is amazing. I have my hair professionally coloured every 6 weeks (used to be every 4 weeks, however, had 'banding' due to the frequency of colouring). This product allows me to extend my hair appointments without feeling self conscious about my dreaded grey roots. My natural colour is red and my hair is dyed as close to my natural colour as possible and the conceal spray is a perfect match and so simple to use. I will definitely be stocking up on this fantastic product.

Before I was using the root touch up stick and it cause a lot of time applying it and can't cover enough my gray hairs. I am so thankful I found this Style Edit on Youtube and start looking where to buy this and so I found it here in Amazon. Thanks to the seller. My expectations are met as to delivery time and satisfaction from the product. It is easy to apply and covers my gray hairs 100%. It even hides the wide gap of my hairline. I am so pleased and will order again.
