I used the reviews on trackers to pick what I thought was best for me and I can tell you 100%It work amazingly , my wife is a habitual cheater unfortunately and since she’s using my car I had to put this in the car to make sure she’s not doing bad things until she proves her trust to me . I literally went down the tracker rabbit hole investigating literally any and all trackers Bluetooth , gps ,Cellular etc and this one works better than even the expensive trackers . You get a 2 day free trial if you pay month to month which is $40 per month and that’s well worth it to know your safe and loved ones are safe , the accuracy is on point down to the parking spot my car is in and if not it’s onlyWithin 20 ft or so off . Real time tracking app is easy , super reliable and so far in 3 days I’ve had customer service contact me 4 times just to make sure I’m happy and to make sure I don’t need help . Turn it on , charge it up and let it do its thing . Five stars all day long for me .the photo is just now in real time shows speed and every detail you can want . 5 second refresh updates as well .

UPDATE: Finally canceled the service because I no longer need it and canceling was pretty easy. I chatted support, said, "hey I wanna cancel" and they pointed me straight to the page to cancel (which now that I see it, I could have found it on my own if I just looked for it). Filled it out and bam, was canceled right away. I saw somebody complaining on here that it wasn't easy to cancel... was pretty easy for me :| Took like 2 minutes. They said I can reactivate it whenever AND it apparently has a LIFETIME warranty... that's pretty amazing. I never see lifetime warranties in products these days. If I ever need to track something again, I'll re-activate this! Worked really well when I was using it!I like it so far but one thing they don't mention on here is the prices for other service options: $25 for 1 minute updates (only updates map every 1 minute) up to $45 for about 5 second updates. I'm using this in case my electric bicycle (a very powerful and expensive one) gets stolen (I hid this unit INSIDE the bike's battery packaging [so it looks like part of the battery] and have it charging via the battery so it will basically last forever) and so far, it works perfectly. I set up a test with my girlfriend where she took the bike and I had to find her just using the GPS. Caught her at a store about 15 minutes after she said "come find me." So I'm very pleased with it so far! I did have to search around in the area for a little bit because sometimes it's not super accurate even outside but still, found her in 15 minutes... pretty good! They don't really advertise it as that kind of tracker but... works well.Pros:- Works pretty much right out of the box, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO BUY A SIM CARD, it comes with one - my favorite thing about this unit. All you have to do is register your device, setup your payment and then wait a few hours for everything to activate and start using.- Seems to be fairly accurate AS LONG as it's outdoors and moving. Once you go inside any place, as with most GPS units, it pings you all over the place within about 1,000-2,000 ft. Sometimes further. So if your using it for an electric bike like I am, you might want to take note of that. Still gives you an idea of where it is though.- No contract so you can cancel your plan and start it back up if your bike or car gets stolen. This is a pretty huge plus for me. I will have it deactivated until- Long-lasting battery. Not attached to my e-bike battery, it seems to get about a week of life per charge (like from 100% to absolute 0). Connect it to a portable USB charger and you can probably get 2 or 3 weeks out of it. Or do like me and connect it to your car or bike battery and have it last forever without recharging :D- It's small! Love the size, I actually thought it would be a little better. Included a picture of me holding it.Cons:- The service plan... and well, the unit itself, is kind of.. expensive compared to others or a pre-paid SIM card option. Then again, works right out of box.- Not always accurate, even when outside. But it works well enough.Overall: It's a nice little unit. Not the cheapest, but works right out of the box - key feature for me. Didn't have to deal with prepaid SIM card nonsense, carriers, etc.

Works great and you can tailor your updates based on battery life or live tracking. Great product with great battery life and accessories to increase battery.

Poor value, fair features, lacking and un-secure support . Despite what the Amazon AI DECIDED FOR ME AND NO OPTION OF DE-SELECTING...decided to go with this option because of the month to month with no contract. However, it is a little misleading, and since there's no information until you purchase the tracker, until you get the item with a QR code to sign up. I got this to try out options for my P.i. work. I need to keep my costs as low as possible so my client prices are as competitive as possible compared to my competitors in a very competitive market. I need something that doesn't have a consistent monthly charge or at least very low when not in use. The $35 monthly charge was fine for me because with no contract I could go ahead and pay for one month and learn how to use it and then turn the service off until I need it again. HOWEVER, ALL the options are all calculated by multiple months depending on your choice of service and as usual the more months you buy the greater the discount. Problem is they dont disclose until you open the package and go to the website that the minimum contract is for 3 months at $35 for an approximate cost of $100. The maximum cost is supposed to be a better deal at $15 over 3 years for a total cost of around $550. There's a year option for $35 for a year, and another option of $23 a month which sounds a little confusing until you find that the "cheaper" option also includes a "warranty " cost as well so either year option is pretty much the same unless you just want to fool yourself so you feel better about the apearant lower cost that will end up being about the same after the Tracker "warranty " so you're going to end up shelling out a minimum of $100 but it seems they're trying to get approximately $500 out of most people. There is no app, all the tracking is web based with typical security and no encryption with very few employees and an AI representative to take care of most of your needs. So hopefully you catch whoever you are after for whatever reason in 3 months unless you have $500 to flush away and apparently very few options of anyone "minding the shop" in cases of crises, hacking, troubleshooting etc. Unless it during typical business hours and even then, you're going to have to just wait in line for help. The tracker itself seems well put together but this seller is obviously planning on doing as little as possible while maximizing profits. I for one will be returning this unfortunately because it seems like a pretty well designed item, but take that with a grain of salt because the design and development was definitely not from this seller as with majority of made in China items. It isn't the BEST ive seen , but seems above average as far as most other options go. Its just a sad reality in an oversaturated market full of MOSTLY unscrupulous con men/women.

Update to My Previous Review – Excellent Resolution and GratitudeI wanted to provide an update regarding my previous concerns with charges on my account. Initially, I was frustrated after going back and forth via email for several days with little clarity—getting the same explanation reworded in different ways. It felt like no real progress was being made.However, since leaving my review, Spytec GPS went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Not only did they refund the charges I questioned, but they also generously reimbursed several months’ worth of fees I had previously paid. I truly appreciate this gesture and the effort they ultimately made to make things right.I do not want to be share the exact resolution I received because there are a lot of people in the world who try to complain about purchases just to obtain compensation . My situation was unique I never expected to receive anything Beyond the last charge because sometimes problems are in part due to confusion between buyer and seller I am truly grateful for how fairly and kindly it was handled in the end. And I have since purchased another item and have no complaints whatsoever.As for the product itself—it remains one of the better GPS trackers on the market. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and has been a solid tool for my needs. I sincerely thank the team at Spytec GPS for their support and follow-through.The tracker is great and the battery is one of the better ones however accuracy isn’ttoo good but I’ve definitely seen worse. Billing note that’s a whole other matter. I was billed for two trackers even tho I have never used more than one at any given moment as I deactivated the lost one when I ordered the second one and never have figured out why I was billed $34.95 AND $24.95 simultaneously with an explanation that I had two trackers. Nope only have need for one why would I use two!!! Anyway going back and forth repeatedly getting nowhere I dropped the account altogether.

Did exactly what it was supposed to. Got it to track my own car because I was suspicious of my boyfriend going other places besides work and lying about it. This helped me learn my suspicions were correct. It was easy to set up, good battery life and I loved the live tracking and that it kept the history. It’s worth the buy. Only thing is you’ll have to also pay for the app membership to track.

Current cars have less plastic so it was a challenge to find a good spot to attach it.The software app works well.

Been using the GPS tracker for a few months and so far no problem and track everything great. This not a typical gps tracker but does give detail information of where it goes depending on the setting chosen. Wokr great and battery could last a little bit longer but does the job.

Easy to set up Qualities is good. take care of their customers and listen to their customers complaints and helped them. I will definitely be purchasing from them in the future.

Initially bought it for a fairly sized asset and it works very well. Updated me in real time where the asset was and how fast it was traveling, when it stops and starts traveling AND charging, what battery percentage its at and it will notify you when it needs charged. You can change how often it pings in the settings. Very easy to use and set up in the app. 3 stars only because the subscription for it is $40 a month which is kind of steep for me but will pay for it again if ever needed.

Much like a lot of tech, eventually it becomes outdated or faulty. The 5 star rating isnt necessarily for the unit even though the unit worked great until it didn't. It was for the customer service I got from Jacob G. I like it when companies take responsibility for issues, back their products, and are willing to provide a replacement if all else fails during trouble shooting. This is why I am giving 5 stars and why I would purchase this unit several times over. It works great giving very accurate metrics and information. It is even better that I dont have to worry finding a brand new product when the company is so sure of their unit that they are willing to replace it at no cost. If you are looking for a good company that is dedicated to the performance of their products, i wouldn't hesitate to go with this brand and tracker.

Work as advertised. Battery life is quite long even with 1 minute update intervals (Performance mode).

Started 8 weeks ago at 100% charge. Today its' battery is dead. Tracking is very spotty. If it is out in the country with no wifi signals, it can't report. It doesn't remember it's own track to report when it gets back to a wifi access point. It was advertised as 18 month battery life... 2 months is all I got.

This is not a completely live tracking device, it simulated at best! It showed it to be in the stopped mode at my neighbors house, but the vehicle it’s in was at my house so tracking is not 100% accurate. I will say customer service was excellent with trying to help me get what I was wanting this to do! And that I do appreciate.

It doesn't give good instructions to set it up I'm having trouble

The monthly price is on the high end. It is also bigger than expected so do not get this if you plan on concealing it or putting it on a pet. I recommend petloc8 for the pets. I still kept it for our popup camper just in case. Does give very accurate locations with the freedom to adjust how often you want to be updated. The battery will not last a month if you want every-minute updates so make sure you change it when you do not need the tracking. Still does what it says but there are cheaper/smaller options out there I wish I would have went with.

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $79.95 with no discount/coupon currently being offered by the seller at this time. Pricing is fair, but not the lowest I’ve seen for a similar sized/type unit. However, the quality of this unit is quite decent and may (or may not) make up for the disparity in price. Even still, a decent coupon/discount would be nice to see and would certainly help make the product more appealing to the average consumer.Design is nice, nothing too fancy going on here which is fine since it’s the build quality that’ll really make the difference. And so how’s the build? Great. It’s durable enough and I trust the IP67 waterproofing rating, although I still have some small doubts about whether this will stand the test of time going through all four seasons here in Canada.My recommendation for installation: Ideally behind the dash where you can have it constantly powered, however I haven’t fully verified this unit can run while being charged, or whether it’s safe to do so. Ideally you’ll want this unit receiving power from your vehicle while running, and when the vehicle is turned off it’ll continue running over its builtin battery - this is the preferred method as less maintenance is required. Otherwise, if you plan to install this in the vehicles exterior, preferably set it in a place where there isn’t much exposure to the elements e.g. shielded by the undercarriage cover or someplace else.This unit requires a subscription, either monthly (cancel at anytime) otherwise for a lower annual rate.

This Spytech GPS tracker is pretty basic in its technical capabilities, but does the job for casual tracking of physical assets like cars, boats and bikes.The provided mounting plate & sticky tape are a bit unreliable, especially if you mounted on the car’s exterior, as it fell off my car after 3 weeks (in winter weather). Luckily, I was able to retrieve it as it fell near my house. I ended up fashioning a custom mount to secure it to my car. The cold winter doesn’t seem to have affected too much of the battery life though, so that’s good for use in the Canadian climate!To use it – yes, you do need a subscription, which is very typical of these types of GPS tracking devices. But, based on my needs, I do wish they offer a more basic (and less expensive) tier of subscription though. The Spytech app is fairly intuitive and easy to use. It’s great to be able to view your tracked object in real-time through the app, and receive notifications as well.Final word – I asked my auto insurance provider whether this device counts as a “anti-theft” device to qualify for a discount, but unfortunately, they didn’t buy it. Oh well…

The Spytec GPS is a solid asset tracker. An ideal use case is for Turo hosts, providing the ability to track your vehicle and locate and recover it when a guest fails to return vehicle at end of trip. In conjunction with a dashcam, it can provide supporting evidence if you have concerns about guest's driving behaviour, or may be reckless or unsafe. Turo's guidelines do allow for GPS tracking devices like the Spytec GPS to be installed on your vehicles.Because it is an active and passive GPS tracker, it does require a subscription fee, $30/month or $25/month with a 1 year contract. While that is another bill, having that peace of mind for Turo hosts would justify the subscription costs. The Spytec GPS feels solid and can be mounted using mount plate with adhesive tape. I like that the batteries can last up to a year, saving you hassle of having to charge it frequently. So why would you get the Spytec GPS over the very popular (and much less expensive) Apple AirTag? Well, the Spytec is a true GPS tracker whereas the AirTag has to use the Find My network for tracking, which can be challenging for vehicle tracking since someone with an iPhone may not be in range. Or if your Turo guest is an Android user, then your AirTag is useless. The accuracy and reliability is far better with the Spytec GPS.

I purchased this GPS because one of my friend recommended it to me for my car so I can track my little nephew mouvement once hes out with my carBut once I got the gps IAM having hard time to connect it on the application. I tried to many time but the application is telling me to sign in .Its a good device because I have seen it with a friend of mine but the fault is mine cz I haven't take time to ready the installation instructions.IAM just waiting for my friend to give me a hand .For the quality of the product is awesome .it's an easy device to use not many bottons to play with and it's so small can be hidden in a small space .I do recommend this product
