Either the product ingredients has changed, or there is something wrong. The new product is VERY dry. Almost like it is past the "USE BY" date, or shelf life has expired. The previous product was fresh, oily, and seemed to work well. Whybwould you change it?I will not purchase this product again unless the previous version is available.

Wow, in a word, just wow! We have three small dogs. We have a Shih Tzu, a Morkie and a Yorkie. The Morkie and Yorkie have both been diagnosed with a luxating patella, which is very common in small dogs. The surgeries themselves will be quite expensive if we end up going there. I really thought we were going to have no choice until our dogs started taking these. It took one week maybe 10 days to really start seeing change. Our little Morkie girl came home from our pupsitter‘s house limping. She was in a very bad way. We don’t just run to the vet. But she was in pain. We waited, hoping she would start getting some relief naturally. Her sister, the Yorkie, was diagnosed with luxating patella about 1 1/2 years ago. So we are not unfamiliar with the symptoms, and how it CAN clear itself up if the dog is babied somewhat. We hoped our Morkie would get better. We kept her quiet. We held her everywhere we went. We stopped taking walks with her. In short, her life became very sedate boring and for a dog who loves to run and chase everything that moves I would say pretty unhappy. Our vet suggested glucosamine/chondroitin chews. I did my research and decided to try it with absolutely no hope of relief for either dog. Also we are trying to prevent Bella (the Shih Tzu) from developing this problem. She has incredibly short legs of course. This is common in dogs with short legs. The chances that all 3 of our pups will eventually end up with this problem are very high. I wanted to get Bella on some kind of regimen to prevent this from happening to her. And since she is the laziest dog in the world and is apparently allergic to all forms of exercise I’m not terribly worried about her developing a luxating ANYTHING! But I figured let’s make it a family affair. They can all pop their glucosamine chondroitin chews at the same time. It did not take long. The results have been nothing less than impressive. Mercedes (Morkie) stopped limping completely. She doesn’t appear to have any pain at all. Raven (Yorkie) has also been relieved of her pain. And Bella is as active as she ever was before 🙄 If you are looking at the cost of these and saying to yourself, that seems expensive. Consider the alternative. We only know that this is less expensive than l/p surgery x2! Oh and they really like the taste. We tried the chicken flavored chews. They gobble them right up. I also wait until they’re hungry and just before I feed them I offer these. They all think it’s a treat.

I have a 120 pound 4 year old male Doberman. He is a VERY active and energetic boy who takes his play time seriously. He has always been a bit reckless with himself. He runs hard, trips over his own feet, he’s a bit crazy lol. Over the last year we have noticed him slowing down. It takes less and less play to wear him out. Sometimes he gets slow when walking and grumbles when he lays down or climbs up onto furniture. His vet recommended we start a supplement to help support his hips and joints to keep him going.I looked into a lot of different ones and tried to read negative reviews to really see. I am really glad I got this one despite some of the negative reviews. We have been giving them for a little over a week and I really can see a difference already. He seems a year younger during play time again.Negative 1: people complained about them blobbing together. Ours came good but they are soft chews and I can see where ordering them in the summer months might be an issue. When ordering, I’ll keep that in mind. They are little soft chews. Even sitting on the counter they stick together. I shake the jar before opening and they are fine (but it’s winter).Negative 2: some complain that the smell is awful and their dog won’t touch them. There is a smell. BUT in my opinion it’s not strong or bad. They smell like dog treats to me. My dog gobbles them right up. He seems to love them.Negative 3. This was the big one for me! Some reviews state their dogs had gotten diarrhea or otherwise sick. My boy has a very sensitive belly. Thankfully, these haven’t bothered him at all. This is dog specific though. My dog needs four a day. The first day I only did one. Second and third day 2, and then on day four we started the whole dose (4 for him, 2 am and 2 pm). He didn’t have issues but other dogs might. I would recommend starting low if you try these just to be sure.Negative 4. The price. For me it’s going to be $40 a month for what dosage my boy needs. This is kinda pricy and sucks. However these have all the ingredients I was hoping for for my boy. Especially the anti inflammatory (this really made a quick noticeable difference in my opinion). I think the price is worth it in my case (maybe not everyone’s) my pup seems much more comfortable and energetic. And as a bonus, he gets excited to eat them. It’s nice to give a med to him that I don’t have to disguise in something else haha, that’s never fun.Overall very happy that I went with these ones and hope we continue to have good results.

We started giving these to our 15 year old yellow lab about a week ago now, and we are doubling up on the doses for the first month, as recommended. So at this pace, two jars will only last a month, then one jar will last her a month after this. But, she likes the taste, so giving them to her is like giving her a treat, which is great and half the battle. It's only been about a week now, but we are already seeing some improvements with her. Her hind legs were very stiff and sore, and she struggled getting up. She seems to be getting around a bit better. Can't wait to see how she is after a month. We will continue with these to help our little old lady, I'm sure she appreciates them! Thank you!

I have an 11 year old German Wirehair Pointer who I bought these for. She absolutely loves them, I top her food bowl off each morning with 4 chews. I can barely get them into the bowl before she has eaten them I have to store the container away from sight so she doesn't get into them and eat the whole jar. She tore her ACL last fall and these have really helped her with daily movements, making life comfortable. After her last vet visit, I was told it would be a good idea to keep giving her Glucosamine and Chondroitin. I have since purchased this item half a dozen times. Only reason for not giving the product 5 stars was that you should not let these sit out by the door on a hot day after delivery - they kind of melted and had a different smell to them. Make sure to keep them in a cool dry place.

This product contains 120 soft and tasty chews. Rather than buying multiple products, this one has ingredients that supplement several things including the immune system, healthy heart, good skin and coat, hip and joints and even digestion. My dogs easily take their chews and I like giving them the extra boost they need for good health.

I stopped giving the commercial dry dog food that has a 25-year shelf life, and started feeding home-made raw meat and pressure cooked vegetables to my dogs. I started adding one of these vitamins to the once per day meals. The dogs literally clean their bowls, and I have seen a remarkable improvement in energy levels, increased playfulness, and overall happiness in my 2 boys.

Helped my 13 year old Husky a lot. He was crying in pain because his front legs hurt so bad from arthritis and he didn't want to walk a lot. After the first few days I saw a change were he will move around more and wants to walk outside more. After 4 months on this product he has gone back to daily walks and it is easier for him to get up and down. This also helped his allergies as he has stopped constantly licking his feet and other areas. Very happy with this product!

I've always had a difficult time getting my chihuahua to eat a healthy meal, and I've NEVER been able to get her to eat a supplement. As she's gotten older, she's become so picky that her diet is is too limited to get the proper nutrients. Her coat was getting thin and flakey, so I decided to give these a try. I fully expected to have yet another jar of vitamins that my dog refused to eat, but she loves them! Every time I pull the jar out, she gets really excited. Her skin and coat also look beautiful now. She's 15 and she looks much younger than her age because of these supplements. I highly recommend them.

Buying Guide

If your dog has mild or seasonal allergies, you may be able to get by with a less expensive supplement that contains fewer ingredients and targets a specific allergy directly. However, if your dog has severe allergies year-round, you will need a supplement that contains a higher concentration of active ingredients that will effectively treat a broader scope or more severe allergies. Dogs typically suffer from two different types of allergies: food allergies and environmental allergies. If your dog has food allergies, you will need to find a supplement that does not contain any of the ingredients that typically cause irritation. It’s also advisable to adjust your dog’s diet along with adding allergy relief. If your dog has environmental allergies, you will need to find a supplement that helps to reduce inflammation and itching caused by pollen, dust or other airborne elements. When choosing a dog allergy relief supplement, it is important to read the label carefully in order to ensure that the product does not contain any ingredients that could potentially harm your dog. Some common ingredients used in these supplements include fish oil, vitamin E, and quercetin. Dog allergy relief supplements can vary widely in price, so it is important to consider your budget when making your selection. In general, products that contain more active ingredients tend to be more expensive than those with fewer ingredients. Make sure to identify your dog’s specific allergy and look for ingredients meant to offer relief.
